Junior School
Welcome
I would like to extend a warm welcome to all our new pupils and their families. I hope that they will settle in very quickly to our school.
Staff The teachers for Junior School are as follows:- Junior Infants: Ms Karen Sweeney Senior Infants: Ms Emer Hoy Grade 1: Ms Jane Cullen Grade 2: Ms Joan Sherlock Grade 3: Ms Christine McLoughlin
Finishing times The children are back to school on August 26th at 8.45am. Junior and Senior Infants will finish at 1.15pm and Grades 1, 2 and 3 will finish at 2.45pm. The children of Junior Infants will finish school at 1.15 pm each day until the end of October. When we return to school after the half-term holiday on November 7th, their school day will continue until 2.45 pm (for those who wish to avail of the longer day). Up until Friday 2nd September, the children of Senior Infants will finish school at 1.15 pm.
Junior School Supervision The School provides supervision for children who finish class at 2:45 pm but need to remain on the premises until 3:45 pm because of transport arrangements. If you wish to avail of this facility please return the supervision form before start of new term. Supervision will commence on Monday 6th September 2010.
Contacting you Please ensure that we have your current mobile phone numbers and email addresses, as this is the most efficient way of ensuring easy and speedy contact with all parents.
Contacting me I will be teaching Senior Infants this year for most of the day, however I will have some time away from the classroom when I will be available to meet with you. . In order to minimise disruption to my class I would ask that, should you wish to contact me, you do so either before 8.30am, send me an email to emer.hoy@sps.ie or leave a message with Veronica and I will get in touch to discuss your concerns or make an appointment to meet with you.
