Westbury House is a purpose built boarding house situated on the grounds of Sutton Park School. Commanding sweeping views from Lambay Island to Dublin Port, the modern and spacious family-type house accommodates 16 to 18 boarders in en suite two, three and four bed rooms. Under the supervision of our house parents, our boarders enjoy a happy and relaxed homelike atmosphere with all the comforts of modern life.
Family spirit As there are only a maximum of sixteen to eighteen of us, we become a close family. Madame Bardel (French Teacher) is like a mother figure, she is available always to answer any queries we may have, she keeps an eye out for all of us and is the contact person in School for all International Students looking after all our needs.
The rooms There are three bedrooms for two, one bedroom for three, two bedrooms for four. Each room has its own ensuite facility(toilet, wash hand basin and shower), each bedroom has a desk and shelving for occupants, a wardrobe with shelving and hanging space (also for each occupant) and (of course!) a bed.
We are allowed to bring electrical appliances like a stereo, an alarm clock, etc. Don't forget to bring adaptors if your appliances aren't compatible with the Irish electrical system.
Going out On weekends, we are allowed to go out to certain times set by our host parents. If we wish to stay overnight at a friends house we must have a detailed form completed and signed by both our parents and the hosting parents. This form must be faxed to the School on +353 1 832 5929 before 3pm on the Wednesday prior to the weekend. All checks will be made by Madame Bardel for safety.
TV and computer There is many TV Channels available in the main lounge, students are welcome to bring their Playstations, Wii Consoles if they wish for all to use. The computer is connected to the internet, so we can stay in contact with our parents and friends by email. We are also allowed to use the computer for our homework. So of course it is equipped with a colour printer.
