Social, Personal & Health Education, as part of the curriculum, supports the personal development, health and well-being of young people and helps them to creat and maintain supportive relationships. The Education Act (1998) places an obligation on schools to promote the social and personal development of students and to provide health education for them. As required by the Department of Education and Science, Sutton Park Senior School has produced a Policy for the teaching of Social, Personal & Health Education.
