Adam Keilthy & Conor Scully - 'A Web Browser for the ColourBlind'
1st Prize Winners Junior Technology Sect

They spent a year doing their project. They did a study using colourblindness test cards to identify the frequency of colourblindness in the population. Their statistics showed approx 9% of males and under 1% of females are red-green colourblind.Adam then wrote the code for a web browser that changed the screen of a web page pixel by pixel to more visually clear clours for the colourblind user.
Niamh Lowney & Shreya Ahluwalia -2nd Year with their project 'Does cerebral dominance affect your perception?' won 1st Prize in Behavioural Sciences - Junior Section

The students hypothesis was that optical illusions could be used to determine if a person was right brained or left brained. They tested the school population for cerebral dominance using a set of questions giving yes/no responses for left or right brained tendencies. They then showed the same people optical illusions that had either/or responses. They found one optical illusion showing either an old lady or a young lady that gave significant results.
